welcome to Julia Emmons Designs. During my career I have been a librarian at Harvard, a professor at Emory University, and director of the Peachtree Road Race, the world’s largest 10K road race. Though all were fascinating, none held the unique and quiet joy of making fine art jewelry.

I have always been an enthusiastic admirer of hand-made jewelry, and began designing and creating my own when I retired in 2006. Most of my pieces feature gemstones, sterling silver embossed with the pattern of antique lace, and gold accents.

I always start with the stone, and allow it to command the design. No two pieces are alike, though all share a common sensibility. It is profoundly satisfying when a client enjoys wearing a piece of my jewelry as much as I enjoyed designing and creating it.

My work is available at Topaz Gallery (www.topazgallery.net), 3145 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, GA, 30324.
